Job Overview

As a key member of the Missiles and Fire Control Production Planning and Control team, you will take on the role of Manufacturing Planner. This position is crucial for managing and sustaining the timeline for deliverables outlined in contracts.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as the Manufacturing Planner, you will be tasked with the following:
  • Engage in the Production, Planning, and Control division as a Scheduler, Make, Buy, or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments including quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, inventory management, logistics, and contract administration.
  • Organize and expedite the transfer of components through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • May require travel and/or communication with all production facilities and supplier locations.
  • Availability for work outside standard operating hours may be necessary.
This role typically necessitates a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Security Clearance Requirement
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and are required to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret clearance is necessary to commence employment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in inventory control and material handling.
  • Familiarity with material requirements and operations in Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping environments.
  • Green Belt certification or training.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or Material Management and Accounting Systems (MMAS).
