Overview:

The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal safety, quality, consistency, and productivity within manufacturing processes and products. This role involves collaboration with diverse teams and engaging with employees across all levels to enhance performance and refine processes.

This individual serves as a key technical resource for a continuous manufacturing operation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead troubleshooting initiatives and problem-solving efforts to determine root causes and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency while minimizing waste and production costs.
  • Support safety programs and promote a culture of behavioral-based safety observations.
  • Evaluate and assess new equipment types, designs, and configurations.
  • Plan, oversee, and coordinate the introduction of new products into manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration into existing processes.
  • Promote best practices in safety and food safety principles while achieving productivity, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing timely updates and results.
  • Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturers to create cost-effective production processes.
  • Incorporate new technologies or environmentally sustainable practices into current operations.
  • Conduct system tests for efficiency and accuracy to ensure a high-quality and cost-effective production process.
  • Analyze process trends to identify improvement opportunities and present data-driven solutions.
  • Work alongside professionals such as scientists, R&D managers, and engineers on development and research projects.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a process engineering role within the food, beverage, or chemical sectors.
At least 5 years of experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with large-scale capital projects and knowledge of manufacturing, production, and packaging machinery.

Familiarity with equipment standards and fabrication methods in the food industry, as well as industrial automation and controls.
