Key Responsibilities
  • Model Factory Operations: Develop process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, material movement, information exchange, and key performance indicators.
  • Calculate Resource Utilization: Identify throughput constraints and optimize resource allocation to improve factory performance.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles: Reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Influence Factory Roadmaps: Draft infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and plan the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment to create a competitive advantage.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth.
  • Support New Production Contract/New Product Proposals: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new production contracts and product proposals.
  • Improve Factory Safety and Work Cell Ergonomics: Identify and implement improvements to factory safety and work cell ergonomics.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Similar Discipline: A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or a master's degree in a related field.
  • U.S. Government Issued Security Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
