Job Overview:

DT Professional Services is looking for an experienced Project Control Analyst (PCA) to contribute to our operations. In this hybrid role, you will utilize various methodologies to oversee project progress from inception to completion, encompassing the tracking of schedules, milestones, budgets, and expenditures.

Your collaboration with Project Managers and other stakeholders will be crucial in monitoring project advancements, pinpointing challenges, and implementing corrective measures as necessary.

The PCA will also ensure precise project documentation, generate reports, and assist the project management team effectively.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, possesses keen attention to detail, and demonstrates a solid grasp of project management principles.

Additional responsibilities include financial oversight for government contracts, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency in developing Estimates at Completion (EAC) and tracking financial data. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate should be adept at multitasking, thriving under pressure, and meeting contractual deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor timelines and milestones while overseeing budgets and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide a comprehensive range of project control expertise across multiple projects, potentially supporting various Program Managers (PMs).
  • Analyze and report on contract progress of varying complexity with minimal supervision.
  • Capture incurred costs and commitments, comparing them against established plans.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Program Management, and Contracts & Pricing teams.
  • Administer subcontract funding, prepare presentations for Monthly Program Reviews, and produce necessary financial documentation.
  • Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for task order pricing.
  • Process Limitation of Funds (LOF) notices and Risk Authorization Forms (RAFs), distinguishing between direct and indirect efforts.
  • Maintain and track Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) efforts as required.
  • Understand project requirements and objectives, developing detailed plans to monitor progress and milestones.
  • Work with project managers to establish baselines for cost, schedule, and scope, tracking actual performance against these benchmarks.
  • Collect data from various sources to generate accurate forecasts of project costs and timelines.
  • Analyze trends and variances to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular status reports on project progress and costs for stakeholders.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of project documentation, ensuring access to the latest information.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and other functional groups, such as accounting and human resources.
  • Assist in developing and implementing project management processes and tools.
  • Support project team members in planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on projects of varying contract types and complexities.
  • Provide training and support to project managers and team members on project control systems.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to document lessons learned and suggest improvements for future projects.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by senior management.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure project success.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Project Control Analyst or Project Financial Analyst role, particularly with government service contracts.
  • 10+ years of experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition policies.
  • Experience in generating cost performance reports for government contracts; familiarity with FAR & DFAR.
  • Knowledge of Forecasting, Cost Burdens, Labor Accounting, and Contract Closeouts is preferred.
  • Experience with various contract types, billing invoices, and contract administration is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience with Government Accounting terminology and acronyms.
  • Experience with Wide Area Workflow and corporate accounting systems such as JAMIS, Deltek, or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Agiloft and Google Sheets and Docs.
Compensation:
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
