Position Overview
This role is based in our Santa Ana office. The Civil Engineering Project Specialist will play a crucial role in the design and execution of both private and public land development initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting grading and drainage assessments, designing roadways, and developing water distribution, sewage, and stormwater management systems. The position also involves preparing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs), and Standard Urban Stormwater Mitigation Plans (SUSMPs) in accordance with local regulations.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification is required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2009 or newer), Civil 3D, and Hydrology/Hydraulics software.
  • Experience with commercial and retail projects is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of design engineers to meet project objectives.
  • Convert preliminary design concepts into detailed construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for the preparation of plans related to drainage, grading, water, sewer, storm drainage, and site development.
  • Create engineering drawings that adhere to specified standards.
  • Develop basic construction documents and prepare specialized exhibits and constraint maps based on field data and engineering analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
