Position Overview:

DT Professional Services is in search of a seasoned Project Control Analyst (PCA) to enhance our operational capabilities. This role involves utilizing a diverse set of tools and methodologies to oversee project progression from inception to completion, which encompasses tracking schedules, milestones, and managing financial resources.

The PCA will collaborate extensively with Project Managers and other key stakeholders to assess project status, pinpoint challenges, and implement necessary corrective measures.

Key responsibilities include ensuring precise project documentation, generating reports, and providing essential support to the project management team.

The ideal candidate should exhibit exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid grasp of project management principles.

Additional responsibilities entail financial oversight in relation to government contracts, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency in developing Estimates at Completion (EAC) and tracking financial data. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is also required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate should demonstrate the capacity to manage multiple tasks, thrive under pressure, and meet contractual deadlines.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project timelines and financial expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide comprehensive project control expertise across various projects and Program Managers.
  • Analyze and report on contract progress of differing complexities with minimal oversight.
  • Capture incurred costs and commitments, comparing them against established plans.
  • Translate functional requirements from Project Managers into financial estimates for workforce, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Work closely with Finance, Program Management, and Contracts & Pricing teams.
  • Prepare financial deliverables and administer subcontract funding.
  • Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for task order pricing.
  • Process funding notices and manage project documentation effectively.
  • Establish baselines for cost, schedule, and scope, tracking actual performance against these metrics.
  • Compile data from various sources to produce accurate project forecasts.
  • Identify trends and variances to recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of project documentation for accessibility.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and other organizational functions.
  • Support the implementation of project management processes and tools.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.
  • Manage special projects as directed by senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Project Control Analyst or Project Financial Analyst role, particularly with government contracts.
  • Proficient in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition policies.
  • Experience in generating cost performance reports and understanding various contract types.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with corporate accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Extensive experience with government accounting terminology and systems.
