Position Overview:
DT Professional Services is in search of a seasoned Project Control Analyst (PCA) to contribute to our operations in a hybrid work setting. The selected candidate will leverage various methodologies and tools to oversee project progression from inception to completion, which encompasses tracking schedules, milestones, and financial expenditures.
Collaboration with Project Managers and other key stakeholders will be essential to monitor advancements, pinpoint challenges, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
The PCA will also play a pivotal role in ensuring precise project documentation, generating reports, and assisting the project management team.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a robust understanding of project management principles.
Additional responsibilities include financial oversight related to government contracts, strong analytical capabilities, and familiarity with Estimate at Completion (EAC) development, as well as reconciling and analyzing financial data. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate should be adept at multitasking, thriving under pressure, and meeting contractual deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor timelines and milestones while overseeing budgets and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide a comprehensive range of project control expertise across multiple projects, potentially supporting various Program Managers.
- Track, analyze, and report on contract progress of varying complexity with minimal supervision.
- Capture incurred costs and commitments, comparing them against established plans.
- Collaborate with Finance, Program Management, and Contracts & Pricing teams.
- Administer subcontract funding, prepare Monthly Program Review presentations, and produce financial deliverables as required.
- Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for task order pricing.
- Process Limitation of Funds (LOF) notices and Risk Authorization Forms (RAFs), distinguishing between direct and indirect efforts.
- Maintain and track Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) efforts as mandated by contract.
- Understand project requirements and objectives, creating detailed plans to monitor progress and milestones.
- Work with project managers to establish baselines for cost, schedule, and scope, tracking actual performance against these metrics.
- Collect data from various sources, including timesheets and financial reports, to generate accurate forecasts of project costs and timelines.
- Analyze trends and variances to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare regular status reports on project progress and costs for stakeholders.
- Maintain a centralized repository of project documentation, ensuring accessibility for all relevant parties.
- Act as a liaison between the project team and other functional departments, such as accounting and human resources.
- Assist in developing and implementing project management processes and tools.
- Support project team members in planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on projects of varying contract types and complexities.
- Provide training and support to project managers and team members on project control systems.
- Conduct post-project reviews to document lessons learned and offer recommendations for future projects.
- Manage special projects as assigned by senior management.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure project success.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance.
- 10+ years of experience in a Project Control Analyst/Project Financial Analyst role with government service contracts.
- 10+ years of experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition policies.
- 10+ years of experience communicating financial information with management and Project/Program Managers.
- Experience generating cost performance reports on government contracts; familiarity with FAR & DFAR.
- Knowledge of Forecasting, Cost Burdens, Labor Accounting, and Contract Closeouts.
- Experience with various contract types (CPFF, CPIF, T&M, FFP) and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Windows applications.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience with Government Accounting terminology.
- 3+ years of experience with Wide Area Workflow.
- 15+ years of experience with corporate accounting systems such as JAMIS, Deltek, or Oracle.
- 2+ years of experience with Agiloft.
- 3+ years of experience with Google Sheets and Docs.
$75,000 - $90,000 annually.
