Position Overview
This role is based in our Santa Ana office. The Civil Engineering Project Specialist will play a key role in the design and development of both private and public land projects. Responsibilities include conducting grading and drainage analysis, designing streets, and developing water distribution, sewage collection, and storm drainage systems. The position also involves preparing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs), and Standard Urban Stormwater Mitigation Plans (SUSMPs) in accordance with local regulations. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • E.I.T. certification is required; Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2009 or newer), Civil 3D, and Hydrology/Hydraulics software.
  • Experience with commercial and retail projects is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate design engineers to meet project objectives.
  • Convert initial design concepts into detailed construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for preparing plans related to drainage, grading, water, sewer, storm drainage, and site development.
  • Create engineering drawings that adhere to specified standards.
  • Develop basic construction documents and prepare specialized exhibits and constraint maps based on field data and engineering analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000 annually.
