Job Overview

The Luminary Group is seeking a highly skilled Program Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of innovative solutions for medical device networks and applications. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Design: Develop and maintain a scalable and robust architecture, preferably utilizing Microsoft Azure, tailored to meet the specific needs of medical device applications.
  • Innovation Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies relevant to the medical device sector.
  • Team Management: Organize and lead multidisciplinary technical teams, ensuring effective distribution of tasks and monitoring of progress and quality.
  • Mentorship: Foster the growth of team members by mentoring them in technical skills and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with team members to identify and address technical risks and challenges throughout the development process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, operations, and compliance teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture and design, adhering to industry standards for medical devices.
  • Security Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure adherence to relevant regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and MDR.
  • Technical Presentations: Present architectural recommendations to engineering teams and senior leadership, including C-level executives.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical expertise during pre-sales discussions and client initiatives.
  • Governance and Oversight: Guide technical governance, conduct architectural reviews, and make critical design decisions across the product portfolio.
  • Requirements Analysis: Analyze and refine business and technical requirements, collaborating with various workstreams to define the technical architecture.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior technical lead or principal engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in cloud system design and infrastructure best practices.
  • Proficient in .Net development and related technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing databases, APIs, and backend services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, including Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with modeling tools, preferably Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Solid understanding of architectural design patterns for cloud performance, scalability, and security.
  • Experience in the medical device field, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of regulatory and quality issues in medical device development.
  • Excellent technical writing skills and experience with UML or equivalent standards.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse organizational levels.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Adaptability to various client cultures and environments.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certification and knowledge of AI platforms are advantageous.

This is a full-time contract position with a hybrid working model. The duration is expected to be 6 months or longer, with potential for extensions.
