Position Overview

The Luminary Group is seeking a highly skilled Program Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of innovative solutions tailored for the medical device sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop a scalable and resilient solution, preferably utilizing Microsoft Azure, to meet the defined business and technical specifications for medical device networks and applications.
  • Foster innovation by assessing and integrating emerging technologies pertinent to the medical device landscape.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, delegating tasks and overseeing progress, quality assurance, and performance metrics.
  • Provide mentorship to enhance the technical capabilities of team members.
  • Work collaboratively to identify and address technical risks and challenges in the development of medical devices.
  • Engage closely with product management, operations, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and adherence to standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture and design, ensuring compliance with formal processes and industry standards.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure adherence to relevant regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and MDR.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to engineering teams, technical leadership, and potentially C-level executives.
  • Support technical pre-sales efforts related to client initiatives and opportunities.
  • Guide technical governance, provide design direction, conduct architectural reviews, and make pivotal design decisions across the product portfolio.
  • Analyze and refine business and technical requirements, collaborating with various workstreams to define the technical architecture.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of substantial experience in a senior technical lead or principal engineering capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud system architecture and infrastructure best practices.
  • Proficiency in .Net development and associated technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing databases, APIs, and backend services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and operations, including Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar.
  • Expertise in architectural design patterns and principles that enhance cloud system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Experience in the medical device sector, with a solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of regulatory and quality challenges associated with medical device development.
  • Knowledge of security standards within the healthcare industry, including HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Exceptional technical and business writing skills, with experience in modeling tools, preferably UML.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with various organizational levels, including engineering, technical leadership, and C-level executives.
  • Experience in providing pre-sales technical support for client engagements.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive in anticipating issues and developing solutions.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Adaptability to diverse corporate cultures.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multi-site environment with geographically dispersed teams.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certification (such as Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) and knowledge of AI platforms is advantageous.

This is a full-time contract position with a hybrid working model. The duration is expected to be 6 months or longer, with potential for extensions.
