About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Architect to join our team at AKP Recruiting. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in leading project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced technology industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams to create innovative and effective architectural designs that meet client needs and requirements.
  • Develop, modify, and review production drawings for various project types, including corporate, healthcare, sport venues, data centers, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities.
  • Participate in the development of project schedules, scopes, budgets, staffing plans, and construction planning.
  • Manage change orders effectively and ensure compliance with project, client, and industry standards.
  • Apply expert knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures to complex projects.
  • Compile studies and reports, write specifications, and prepare technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to develop new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts, identify key pursuits, and manage project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the architectural practice, mentor less experienced engineers, and ensure QA/QC process adherence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program and 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Expert attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
  • Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed architectural documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
