Job Overview

Position Summary: The Program Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable solutions tailored for medical device networks and applications. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and technical requirements to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and maintain a comprehensive solution, preferably utilizing Microsoft Azure, that meets the outlined business and technical specifications.
  • Foster innovation by assessing and integrating emerging technologies pertinent to the medical device sector.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams, ensuring effective distribution of tasks and monitoring of progress and quality.
  • Provide mentorship to enhance the technical capabilities of team members.
  • Work collaboratively to identify and address technical risks and challenges in the development of medical devices.
  • Engage closely with product management, operations, and compliance teams to align project goals.
  • Create and uphold documentation regarding system architecture and design, adhering to formal processes and industry standards.
  • Implement security best practices while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Deliver technical insights and recommendations to engineering teams and leadership, including C-level executives.
  • Support technical pre-sales activities related to client initiatives.
  • Oversee technical governance, guiding design direction and conducting architectural reviews across the product suite.
  • Analyze and refine business and technical requirements, collaborating with various workstreams to establish a cohesive technical architecture.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a senior technical lead or principal engineering role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud system architecture and best practices.
  • Proficient in .Net development and associated technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing databases, APIs, and backend services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient with Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar tools.
  • Expertise in architectural design patterns, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Experience in the medical device industry, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security standards applicable to the healthcare sector.
  • Exceptional technical and business writing skills, with experience in modeling tools.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with various organizational levels.
  • Experience in providing technical support for client opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Proactive in identifying potential issues and developing solutions.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse client cultures.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certification and knowledge of AI platforms are advantageous.

This is a full-time contract position, offering a hybrid work model with flexibility in location.
