Identifying the Ideal Candidate:

Our Southeast division is on the lookout for a seasoned transportation engineer with a strong history of overseeing and successfully delivering transportation initiatives for governmental bodies at various levels. The ideal applicant will possess an entrepreneurial spirit to enhance our transportation engineering services throughout Florida and contribute to our national efforts in this domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify marketing prospects and collaborate effectively to secure transportation projects from clients such as state departments, municipalities, and local authorities.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery of all project outputs while maintaining profitability and adhering to the quality standards set by Ayres Associates and contractual obligations.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with project managers and other company leaders.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
  • Engage actively in professional associations.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on transportation.
  • Licensed professional engineer (PE) in Florida.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in transportation.
  • Strong project management capabilities in the transportation sector.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, particularly in identifying and securing projects.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in urban and rural roadway design.
  • Experience with PD&E and corridor studies.
  • Knowledge of lighting and signalization design.
  • Commitment to representing Ayres Associates with professionalism.
