At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we pride ourselves on our commitment to enhancing the lives of vulnerable children and families. As part of our dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the well-being of numerous families in Indiana.

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Community Navigator fluent in Spanish to serve the Wayne County area. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating inclusive events, activities, and resources at our newly established Family Resource Center. You will be the welcoming face for families visiting our center, providing essential support and guidance.

Your Responsibilities:

Case Management (70%)

  • Engage with families seeking services and assistance at the Family Resource Center.
  • Collaborate with local community members to support families effectively.
  • Oversee the connection of families to vital resources while offering informal support.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of community resources to assist families.

Community Engagement and Outreach (30%)

  • Identify and stay informed about community resources that offer family support and recreational opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at events, meetings, and outreach activities to promote our services.
  • Organize community events focused on preventing child abuse and neglect, including those held during evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with insurance and a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working directly with families in a human services capacity.
  • Knowledge of child development principles.
  • Ability to engage effectively with the community.
  • Strong motivation to uphold quality standards in work.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with diverse individuals.
  • Respect for and understanding of cultural differences.
