The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cisco Call Manager and experience in managing and monitoring it. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and develop and implement communication strategies and plans.
This is a hands-on technical position that requires a strong understanding of unified communications solutions and implementation. You will be responsible for supporting VoIP systems and contact center technologies within UC Infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco Call Manager, Cisco UCCX, and CUC.
As a Unified Communications Specialist, you will partner with other technology teams and end-users to ensure high-quality operations and efficient voice, chat, video, text, and related collaboration technologies. You will move, add, or modify communications systems, support hardware and software, and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the company's Cisco Call Manager Systems and integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Cisco Call Manager.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that Cisco Call Manager is integrated with other systems and tools.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in communication technologies.
- Operational activities (non-exhaustive): Incidents, Changes, Problem Management, Service Requests, Health Checks and Proactive Maintenance, Patching & Upgrades, Backups, On Call Support.
- Project Activities (Non-Exhaustive): Requirement generation & interpretation of requirements, Solution & Workflow Design, Implementation & Build, Testing, Training and Transition.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Networking and Information Security.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in managing and monitoring Cisco Call Manager Systems and integrations.
- Significant and successful experience supporting various unified communications solutions and implementation. Working experience with hardware and software systems including on-premise data center with Cisco, Dell, Dell / EMC, network protocols such as H.323, SIP, DHCP, DNS, DHCP, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Citrix NetScaler, VMware, Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environments, LAN/WAN/SDN, technologies as well as cloud providers is preferred.
- Working experience with hardware and software systems including on-premise data center with Cisco, Dell, Dell / EMC, network protocols such as H.323, SIP, DHCP, DNS, DHCP, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Citrix NetScaler, VMware, Linux, Unix, and/or Windows environments, LAN/WAN/SDN, technologies as well as cloud providers is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or 5 years of related experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing and monitoring Cisco Call Manager Systems and integrations.
