Operations Supervisor Role
We seek a skilled Operations Supervisor to join our elite Waste Connections Operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity for career growth and advancement, with a focus on developing and executing safety goals, conducting field inspections, and overseeing complex compliance programs.
Responsibilities
- Assign and supervise work crews operating solid waste collection equipment.
- Monitor daily operations, reassign employees, and make staffing changes as necessary.
- Help develop and execute safety goals.
- Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure proper work procedures.
- Receive and review customer complaints regarding collection programs.
- Perform reviews and performance management discussions.
- Formulate short-term and long-term goals and action plans for the Hauling Company.
- Oversee complex compliance programs, including environmental, OSHA, and local permitting.
Requirements
- Able to relocate for promotional opportunities based on performance.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in transportation/trucking/logistics required.
- Have or ability to obtain within 90 days a Class B CDL.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related business systems.
Compensation
The salary for this role is $79,000 - $82,000 annually, with a bonus of 0-10%. We offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long-term and short-term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement, and unlimited opportunities to connect with your future.
