Overview of the Role

This position plays a critical role in our internal rating process for commercial lines with select insurance carriers, serving as a liaison for carrier relationship management and facilitating account placements within Acrisure ACE and agency partners. The successful candidate will also facilitate outbound marketing of select programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze submissions to make informed decisions based on individual risk characteristics, exposure analysis, hazard recognition, and control, ensuring compliance with authority levels and state regulations.
  • Review and analyze relevant underwriting information, including applications, inspections, loss control recommendations, loss history, credit checks, and D&B reports.
  • Based on insurance company authority levels, accept, decline, or modify new and renewal business to ensure a profitable book of business.
  • Handle new and renewal underwriting processes, including rating or submitting to insurance companies, negotiating with sales/service teams, obtaining updated customer information, and preparing presentation and proposal/quotation materials.
  • Price business according to insurance company underwriting and pricing guidelines.
  • Provide coverage analysis and recommendations for improved or additional coverage.
  • Communicate with Commercial and Personal Lines teams and insurance companies to answer questions and resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive agency relationships within appointed insurance companies.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, meeting with insurance company personnel to represent the agency and communicating insurance company appetite to agency personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance company database, directory, and website access for all agency users.
  • Facilitate account placements with Acrisure ACE and agency partners.
  • Support organizational initiatives and uphold core values.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent or insurance experience.
  • Applicable current state insurance license.
