Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our R&D team as a Carbohydrate Ingredient Development Intern. As a key member of our team, you will support the progression of a well-defined research project related to the preparation and characterization of a unique, novel starch-based ingredient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate laboratory equipment and conduct experiments safely following standard operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively with the supervisor and team members, seeking support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to guidelines for good housekeeping and safety
  • Collect and compile relevant background information, summarizing outcomes in appropriate formats
  • Present project status updates and outcomes to the team and key partners
  • Record data in the Electronic Lab Notebook and other archiving databases as necessary
Requirements
  • Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry with laboratory research experience
  • Ability to work safely in a shared laboratory environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software applications, such as MS Office Suite and common scientific software
  • Reliable transportation to and from the facility each work day
