We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our R&D team as a Carbohydrate Ingredient Development Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will support the progression of a well-defined research project related to the preparation and characterization of a unique, novel starch-based ingredient.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Operating laboratory equipment and conducting experiments safely following standard operating procedures
- Communicating effectively with the supervisor and team members, and seeking support as needed
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment, and following guidelines for good housekeeping and safety
- Collecting and compiling relevant background information, and summarizing the outcomes in appropriate formats
Requirements for the role include:
- Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, with laboratory research experience
- Ability to work safely in a shared laboratory environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills
- Working knowledge of basic computer software applications, such as MS Office Suite and other common scientific software
