Position Overview:
The Service Operations Leader will oversee and manage the Field Service Technicians and daily activities at the designated branch, ensuring exceptional customer service and the attainment of sales or productivity objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotes a safe and healthy workplace, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
Supports sales in delivering profitable crane services for inspections, maintenance, installations, repairs, modifications, and upgrades tailored to customer requirements.
Supervises equipment servicing, guaranteeing that production, performance, and quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.
Evaluates jobs to confirm that safety, quality, financial, and delivery standards are upheld.
Prepares reports for executive leadership as needed.
Manages equipment procurement and upkeep.
Performs additional related tasks as assigned.
Collaborates with the corporate office to establish performance benchmarks based on financial and operational goals and compliance requirements.
Conducts regular team meetings to ensure clear communication of goals and objectives; provides guidance and leadership to empower staff in achieving these targets.
Identifies training needs and opportunities; formulates and implements plans to address those needs.
Maintains and fosters positive relationships with current and prospective clients, exemplifying outstanding customer service and setting a standard for other team members.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of technicians.
Manages scheduling and assignments for the branch.
Oversees branch service sales and profitability.
Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Handles employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional leadership and management capabilities.
Strong sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
Preferred experience in crane operations.
A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a service-oriented industry.
