Descripción del Rol
El objetivo de esta posición es brindar apoyo tanto administrativo como clínico a la oficina. En el ámbito administrativo, serás responsable de tareas básicas en la recepción, como recibir a los pacientes y gestionar copagos y saldos pendientes. En el ámbito clínico, actuarás como Asistente Médico, colaborando con el médico en la realización de radiografías, ayudando con la documentación y asistiendo al doctor según sea necesario. Debes ser capaz de realizar múltiples tareas y manejar situaciones estresantes con una actitud positiva. Este es un entorno dinámico donde siempre estarás en movimiento. Se prefiere experiencia, pero estamos dispuestos a capacitar a la persona adecuada. Buscamos a alguien que desee crecer con la empresa y permanecer a largo plazo, avanzando dentro de la organización.
Las responsabilidades incluyen:
- Recibir a los pacientes y visitantes de manera cortés y eficiente. Cuando sea necesario, acompañarlos a la sala de examen.
- Registrar a los pacientes ingresando, verificando y actualizando información demográfica y de seguros. Registrar horarios de llegada, información de referencias y datos de pago.
- Programar citas de seguimiento para los pacientes cuando sea necesario.
- Seguir el procedimiento para solicitudes de registros médicos y documentación de discapacidad/FMLA.
- Realizar el cierre de caja al final del turno y asegurar que todos los pagos concuerden.
- Asistir a otros miembros del equipo con pacientes molestos o iracundos, desescalando la situación y brindando apoyo.
- Mantener el espacio de trabajo ordenado y organizado. Reabastecer suministros en la sala de espera, recepción y salas de examen.
- Preparar el horario revisando posibles problemas antes de las citas de los pacientes. Imprimir hojas de entrada y otra documentación solicitada para el equipo médico.
- Limpiar y esterilizar instrumentos utilizando técnicas adecuadas de esterilización.
- Registrar signos vitales e historial médico en el expediente del paciente, escanear documentos pertinentes y solicitar informes e imágenes de instalaciones externas.
- Realizar radiografías y escaneos de marcha según lo indique el médico.
- Cargar estudios pertinentes para el médico, preparar procedimientos de inyección y aspiración, y desechar residuos biológicos de acuerdo con las regulaciones de OSHA.
- Guiar a los pacientes para ver al médico de manera eficiente y oportuna; asistir a los pacientes según sea necesario y apoyar al médico en todo momento.
- Proporcionar atención y instrucciones de seguimiento a los pacientes al concluir su cita.
- Fabricar dispositivos ortóticos formando y moldeando materiales según especificaciones prescritas. Ajustar, probar y evaluar dispositivos en los pacientes, realizando ajustes para un ajuste, función y comodidad adecuados.
Se requiere una personalidad amigable y acogedora, sentido común, motivación, comodidad con computadoras y capacidad para realizar múltiples tareas.
La vestimenta es de uniforme médico.
