Mindlance - Project Management Consultant Overview

  • This role is Contract to Hire and is open to various locations including remote options.

  • Pre-Screen Questions
    • Have you worked in an IT department? If so, for how long?
    • Have you engaged directly with external clients? If so, for how long?
    • Do you have experience delivering presentations via phone or video conference to external stakeholders, and adapting those materials in real-time?
    • Do you have experience in developing project timelines and managing projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)?

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

  • To plan and oversee project assignments until completion; to communicate outcomes; to provide insights to management; and to deliver training as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify necessary resources; gather project data, procedures, and historical context for a comprehensive understanding of project objectives.
  • Generate and evaluate statistical data reports.
  • Develop, implement, and manage project plans through to completion.
  • Communicate progress updates to all relevant parties.
  • Address issues that arise involving clients, as appropriate.
  • Facilitate the transition of programs to management personnel.
  • Engage in oral presentations.
  • Provide training to management and colleagues as required.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Perform other assigned tasks.
  • Support the organization's quality initiatives.
  • Travel as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education & Credentials
    • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis from an accredited institution is preferred.
    • Courses in Computer Science are preferred.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, including three (3) years in project management, office operations management, managed care, insurance-related, and/or statistical analysis roles.
    • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Skills & Knowledge
    • Comprehensive knowledge of related field procedures or insurance-related processes and/or managed care systems and operations.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles.
    • Proficient in statistical analysis.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
    • Demonstrated leadership, management, and motivational skills.
    • Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.
    • Exceptional organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to meet or exceed performance standards.
