Role Summary

The Sales Consultant position at Ohio Property Brothers demands a comprehensive understanding of the residential remodeling sector, along with exceptional communication abilities and a comfort with technology. You will engage in both phone and face-to-face consultations with clients to assess their remodeling aspirations and guide them through our established sales framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial phone assessments to qualify potential clients during scheduled discovery calls, followed by arranging and attending in-home consultations.
  • Visit client residences to evaluate remodeling requirements and capture images along with measurements.
  • Engage clients with insightful questions and provide constructive feedback to assist them in their decision-making process.
  • Support the creation of precise quotes utilizing software while collaborating with trade partners and suppliers.
  • Confidently present design agreements and contracts to clients.
  • Ensure a seamless transition between pre-sale discussions and design handoff.
  • Facilitate detailed handoffs to project managers and trade partners for specialized items.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with trade partners, designers, project managers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Enhance client experiences to encourage positive feedback and reviews.
  • Engage in professional networking opportunities within the local community.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated recent experience in residential remodeling sales (minimum of 5 years).
  • Thorough understanding of residential remodeling procedures.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JobTread.
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong empathy and emotional intelligence.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Effective time and task management capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Results-driven approach.
  • High energy levels with excellent listening skills and a positive outlook.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for a company vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to leverage emerging technologies that enhance the sales process.
  • Extensive recent experience in residential remodeling (10+ years).
  • Proficient in managing budgets, bid requests, change orders, and addressing client objections.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: proactive, innovative, and capable of taking ownership of projects.

Working Conditions

  • This role involves a combination of remote work and on-site visits.
  • Physical requirements include climbing ladders and lifting materials weighing 25 pounds or more.
  • Ability to manage a work calendar effectively, allowing time for team meetings and networking.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
  • Weekend and evening work is generally not expected.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time employment.
  • Compensation range: starting at $100,000, commensurate with experience. No cap on commission.
