Guidewire Cloud is built on the robust Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance through our experienced teams and certified partners in application management, system administration, security, compliance, upgrades, QA testing, and health checks.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, strategize, and execute pivotal cross-functional initiatives, technical projects, and intricate features, initially focusing on Security and Cost Optimization, while ensuring high visibility with senior Engineering and Product leadership.

Define, recommend, and evaluate critical metrics that are essential for Platform teams. Foster a data-driven culture within teams, taking ownership of these metrics, monitoring variances, suggesting corrective measures, and driving improvements in outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of project/program management experience, particularly in leading complex technical projects with a strong emphasis on cloud-based solutions or Infrastructure management.
  • Proficient in utilizing work planning and tracking tools such as Jira, Aha, Trello, or Asana to enhance team organization and progress reporting.
  • Strong inclination towards metrics-driven decision-making: Proven experience in identifying and applying effective program metrics to assess success and address issues.
  • Ability to unify diverse, fast-paced teams, ensuring cohesive collaboration.
  • Confidence to tackle ambiguous challenges, conduct independent research, and facilitate decision-making processes with Senior Leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active advocate and follower of cloud technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience in Product or Engineering Operations.
  • Prior involvement in managing Data Centers, Security, or FinOps teams.
  • Technical certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Security, or other cloud-native technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Information:
  • This role is distinct from a Scrum Master position.
  • The position reports directly to the Director of Program Management.
  • This is an office-based role with flexible work-from-home options as applicable.
