Role Responsibilities
As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will:

  • Investigate the origin and cause of claims by engaging with relevant parties, including insured individuals, claimants, agents, and legal representatives.
  • Identify and address complex issues, managing claims with integrity.
  • Handle both first-party and third-party claims across various policy types and endorsements.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations when necessary, assess damages, and negotiate settlements with involved parties.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, make informed decisions, and finalize claims.
  • Interpret and apply policy documents, leases, and contracts to determine coverage for assigned losses.
  • Proactively communicate the claims process and status to all stakeholders, addressing questions or redirecting as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
We seek candidates who demonstrate:

  • Experience in delivering customer-focused solutions and support.
  • Proficiency in managing first-party and third-party claims across multiple lines.
  • Capability in handling moderately complex claims or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of casualty coverage policies and endorsements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the claims handling process.

Licensing Requirements
Applicants must possess:

  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • State-specific property casualty claims licensing as mandated.

Travel Expectations
This role may require:

  • Up to 50% travel.
  • Catastrophe duty, potentially up to 75% as necessary.

Physical Demands
Responsibilities may involve:

  • Climbing ladders, stairs, and navigating various terrains.
  • Working in diverse environments, including confined spaces.
  • Handling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment
Adjusters may encounter:

  • Extreme temperatures.
  • Outdoor conditions such as rain and wind.
  • Noise and potential hazards in various settings.
