Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our proposal development process. As a Director, Business Development Operations, you will be responsible for managing a team of proposal managers, analysts, graphic designers, and writers to deliver high-quality proposals to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead the proposal team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement proposal strategies, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance proposal development processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and tools to streamline proposal operations.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all proposals comply with federal regulations and customer requirements.
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure proposals are clear, concise, and compelling.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage proposal resources, including staff, budgets, and external vendors.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet proposal deadlines and objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the business development, capture management, contracts, pricing, and technical teams to develop winning strategies.
  • Facilitate communication across departments to ensure proposal alignment with customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 15 years of proposal experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in proposal development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal contracting and procurement processes across the federal government.
  • Proven track record of winning complex federal contracts.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in proposal management software and tools, including SharePoint, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shipley Proposal Management Certifications or equivalent.
  • Shipley Capture Management Certification.
