Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Director to join our dynamic team at Value Living AZ. The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations within the organization, ensuring smooth workflow and cost-effectiveness.
This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, detail orientation, and the ability to collaborate with employees of all backgrounds. Additionally, strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to seamlessly transition between responsibilities required to successfully operate different businesses with diverse needs is required to achieve company objectives.
The successful candidate will excel at measuring and implementing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position is being opened as a contract 1099 position with the opportunity to convert to a W2 employee upon successful three (3) month development period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Strategy:
- Develop and implement operational strategies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives
• Oversee operational systems, and processes while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision
• Manage day to day business operations and address any issues or concerns
• Ensure employee compliance with established systems, processes and methods of conducting daily business
2. Team Leadership:
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure high performance and employee satisfaction
• Analyze staff training needs/requirements and implement programs to ensure all staff are equipped to be successful in their roles
• Collaborates with staff to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values
• Participates in employee transitions and onboarding team members, as needed
3. Resource Management:
• Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment and budget to minimize waste
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Oversee inventory management and supply chain processes
• Assist in developing and managing the operations budget, ensuring expenditures are within approved limits
4. Performance Monitoring:
• Develop and monitor performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operational processes, initiatives and employees
• Gauge company morale and sentiment through periodic employee surveys and questionnaires and create improvement strategies, as needed
5. Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and choke points in business operations and develop mitigation and improvement plans to ensure business continuity and resilience
6. Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare regular reports on operational performance for management
• Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making and strategic planning
• Stay updated on industry work trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Program or Operations Management, Technical Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance/Accounting or related fields
• Minimum two (2) years proven experience in an operations management role, with a track record of success in improving operational performance
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management and relevant software tools
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in above mentioned fields
• Certification in Operations Management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
• Experience in Real Estate, Medical or Hospitality related fields
