The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in the financial reporting, strategic planning, forecasting, and business analytics for The Apparel Group. This role is accountable for producing precise and timely budgets and forecasts, alongside conducting variance analysis, measuring supply chain and logistics performance, and performing comparative assessments.

This position serves as a crucial link between finance and technology, ensuring the integrity of information sourced from our financial systems while identifying opportunities for process enhancements within Finance and Accounting. Success in this role necessitates strong communication skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the precision of financial data utilized for reporting purposes.
  • Oversee the reporting of essential financial metrics that inform operational decisions.
  • Provide comprehensive financial data support to key stakeholders within the finance department.
  • Enhance and implement an analytics framework, ensuring financial dashboards are consistently updated with accurate information.
  • Deliver exceptional support during month-end close, forecasting, planning cycles, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Transform data into actionable insights, effectively addressing ambiguous and unstructured challenges.
  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to present and clarify deliverables to non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and refine data collection methodologies, document data definitions, and catalog metadata requirements for enterprise BI and analytical applications.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales and operational performance to bolster business initiatives, creating clear and compelling visual representations of data insights.
  • Utilize advanced quantitative techniques, data mining, modeling, and analytical tools to tackle complex business challenges.
  • Provide training, address inquiries, assess user requirements, and recommend modifications to data systems.
  • Analyze and resolve the comprehensive impact of system-related issues.
  • Create and uphold procedural documentation while ensuring data integrity within the company's financial systems.
  • Engage in software upgrades, design, implementation, functional testing, and data validation to guarantee quality solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and/or Financial Systems.
  • Robust understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL with at least 2 years of experience handling large datasets.
  • Experience with analytic and reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) for 2+ years.
  • Quick learner and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving and time management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster mutual understanding of business needs and develop collaborative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and adapt swiftly to changes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
