Position Summary
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders and the IT department, facilitating enhancements and improvements in applications and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and interpret integration solutions among various platforms, including HR systems and payroll management.
  • Support data conversion and process re-engineering during acquisitions and mergers.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot application issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Conduct thorough research on the current environment, analyze data, and propose effective solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Gather and document business requirements for issue resolution, enhancements, and new applications.
  • Continuously assess existing applications and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support to business owners and users regarding applications and processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop functional requirements.
  • Document business processes comprehensively.
  • Act as a primary contact for both business and technical support inquiries.
  • Create and maintain documentation for current applications and user guides.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business user community and the IT organization.
  • Coordinate with third-party developers or maintenance organizations for outsourced systems and services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in enterprise systems as a functional business analyst.
  • Experience in report development using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools.
  • Project Management Certification is advantageous.
  • Strong interviewing skills to engage with individuals and groups to uncover essential requirements.
  • Excellent listening skills to understand verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information from multiple sources and resolve conflicts.
  • Facilitation skills to lead workshops focused on requirements gathering.
  • Observational skills to validate data and identify new opportunities.
  • Strong writing skills for effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills to manage diverse information and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Interpersonal skills to negotiate priorities and resolve stakeholder conflicts.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly in HCM, payroll, and time tracking, preferably Workday.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Project, and Visio.
