Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gordon M. Buitendorp Associates, Inc. (GMB). As a Mechanical Engineer at GMB, you will play a critical role in the design and development of educational projects, working closely with our team of architects, engineers, and planners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project team meetings and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in complex mechanical systems, including code compliance, specifications, and system integration.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, building models, and load analysis, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and clients to understand project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and best practices in mechanical engineering, driving continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Pursuing licensure or licensed professional engineer (PE) preferred.
