Product Design Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Development Engineer to join our team at Garrett Motion. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for launching new product designs and applications at the customer, while developing top-down functional requirements and designs.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Product Ownership: Meet all turbocharger functional requirements, including performance, reliability, quality, costs, and timing, to meet engine specifications.
- Design and Development: Match, design, simulate, and validate full product to meet customer needs.
- Accountability and Quality: Be accountable for internal and external APQP (advanced product planning quality) on full Bill Of Material, including sign-off turbo, component PPAP deviations.
- Customer Interface: Serve as a single point of contact to the customer for launch.
- Design and Quality: Ensure proper application and use of standard design processes and tools, as defined by functional matrix.
- Investigation and Implementation: Support design quality issue investigations (8D's) and lead implementation of corrective actions.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with developing and/or launching products in the automotive or similar industry.
- Skills: Proven track record with product validation and launch experience, as well as product development and component design in the automotive industry.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and sense of urgency.
- Teamwork: Team player, growth, and customer focus.
- Turbomachinery Experience: Experience in turbomachinery, mechanical design, or testing.
- Design and Development: Experience with casting, machining, and assembly of hardware.
- Simulation Tools: Experience with FEA and/or CFD simulation tools.
- Design Tools: Experience with 3D design tools.
- Quality Certification: Six Sigma GB certification.
- Continuous Learning: Eager to learn and acquire new skills and new capabilities.
