Quality Assurance Inspector for Transportation Projects

Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the Quality Assurance Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of transportation construction projects. This position is integral to the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for:

  • Implementing standard quality assurance inspection protocols during and post-construction phases.
  • Assessing structural quality, safety measures, and adherence to project specifications and regulatory codes.
  • Documenting compliance with contractual obligations and conducting thorough reviews of plans and site layouts.
  • Performing material testing and ensuring conformance to established standards.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and preparing detailed reports.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years of experience in construction inspection, preferably in transportation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and strong communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Preferred Credentials:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Relevant certifications such as NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction.
  • NECEPT-Bituminous Field Technician and PennDOT Concrete Field Technician certifications.

Work Environment:
This role involves fieldwork, requiring physical stamina for tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Candidates should be prepared to work in various weather conditions.
