As the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering Leader at AMETEK, you will spearhead the enhancement of our quality management and production engineering functions, emphasizing product excellence, process optimization, and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management: Oversee the establishment, execution, and upkeep of quality control systems in alignment with ISO 9001 standards. Ensure that products consistently meet or surpass quality benchmarks and regulatory requirements, leading initiatives to identify and rectify quality challenges while driving ongoing enhancements in product quality. Production Engineering: Direct and manage the production engineering division to enhance manufacturing processes. Propel the development and execution of engineering solutions that boost production efficiency, minimize costs, and facilitate new product launches. Process Optimization: Own and drive initiatives that improve product quality, minimize waste, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency. Utilize the expertise of the Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, and Manufacturing Engineer to identify and implement best practices. Team Leadership: Directly oversee a team comprising 1 Quality Engineer, 1 Quality Inspector, and 1 Manufacturing Engineer. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to nurture a collaborative, high-performance work culture. Root Cause Investigation: Lead inquiries into product defects, process deviations, and production challenges. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avert recurrence and enhance overall process reliability. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all quality and production engineering activities adhere to ISO 9001 standards, along with other pertinent industry regulations. Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of processes, inspections, testing, and engineering modifications. Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for customer quality inquiries and engineering-related concerns. Proactively address and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering strong relationships. Reporting & Metrics: Develop and sustain metrics to monitor quality and production performance. Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, promoting data-driven decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and other departments to align quality and engineering objectives with broader business goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the organization.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, production engineering, or a combination of both within a manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Required experience with ISO 9001 standards, including the development and maintenance of quality management systems. Proven experience and ownership in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives, with a successful track record of driving effective process enhancements. Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, RCCA, CAPA, and process improvement methodologies. Proficiency in engineering and quality management software and tools. Experience with QT9 preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
