Job Summary:

Encorus Group is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials used in various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Test and analyze physical properties of materials such as concrete, soil, and asphalt.
  • Examine test samples, interpret blueprints and schematics, and utilize measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
  • Evaluate and review test data with supervisors, reporting findings to engineers and laboratory personnel.
  • Collect and analyze soil and construction material samples, performing laboratory testing as required.
  • Set up and adapt test equipment based on data sheets and instructions from engineering department personnel.
  • Perform various tests on construction materials using advanced materials-testing equipment.
  • Inspect asphalt and concrete batch plants to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Record and report test results, performing necessary mathematical calculations.
  • Utilize computer software for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and equipment calibration.
  • Assist senior inspectors with inspections as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain certifications from ACI, NICET, ICC, and AWS, and maintain them as directed by the company.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive for sample collection, field tests, and inspections.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
  • Ability to perform job functions with personal protective equipment and in adverse weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior construction experience.
  • Current certifications from ACI, NICET, ICC, and AWS organizations.

Compensation:
