Role Overview

The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Calculating costs by evaluating labor, materials, and time requirements.
  • Preparing estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Resolving discrepancies through thorough information analysis.
  • Presenting estimates by organizing and displaying numerical and descriptive data.
  • Creating special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing trends and information.
  • Conducting conceptual, schematic, and design development budgets.
  • Reviewing plans for accuracy and consistency.
  • Managing take-offs while applying unit pricing.
  • Collaborating with the preconstruction team to ensure successful bidding.
  • Developing leadership skills within the estimating team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience, preferably within a commercial General Contractor.
  • Experience with bids valued at $5 million or more.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
