Job Overview

Under general supervision, employing engineering principles and lean strategies, the role involves conducting engineering tasks at production facilities. This includes identifying operational inefficiencies, troubleshooting issues, and devising prompt solutions. This pivotal position requires collaboration across various departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and redesign of process modifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and guidelines.
  • Analyze intricate technical challenges or operational delays, ascertain root causes, and propose enhancements or adjustments using established statistical techniques.
  • Evaluate change requirements for alignment with processing techniques, considering cost implications and scheduling, while overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment and material capabilities to achieve specified process and technology targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, site management, and continuous improvement groups to support adherence to processes or adapt processes to leverage identified opportunities.
  • Facilitate long-term continuous improvement initiatives by implementing solutions for various projects, utilizing analysis methods such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, DMAIC, RCA, and statistical assessments.
  • Formulate operational sequences, estimate time requirements, and prepare operational documentation, including support for labor and warehouse management systems.
  • Work alongside engineering teams and local leadership to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for training and documentation purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment and resolving technical problems.

Certifications: Lean Training, Six Sigma Training, and proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Tableau.
