Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Maintain sanitary conditions and ensure product quality by following Good Manufacturing Practices. Report any safety or quality concerns to management promptly.
  • Operate, clean, and assist in preventive maintenance of filler machinery as per the maintenance schedule. Troubleshoot equipment issues as necessary.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for production and sanitation.
  • Lead and plan changeover activities for fillers and date coding, ensuring the Supervisor is informed of required resources and any issues that arise.
  • Ensure optimal line efficiency and manage equipment to minimize product and packaging losses.
  • Meet daily production targets for the Filler area.
  • Maintain effective communication with Pasteurizer operators and the Packaging department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct and document quality checks and downtime events using the designated tracking system.
  • Handle cleaning agents properly while wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Operate motorized material handling equipment safely.
  • Notify the Supervisor of significant mechanical issues and report any system irregularities to mitigate risks.
  • Restock chemical supplies as necessary to uphold sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory usage or creation within the inventory management system.
  • Test and monitor chemical concentrations to ensure compliance with cleaning specifications.
  • Exhibit teamwork and uphold our core values: Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement, along with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide training to new employees as needed.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating machinery and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and product specifications.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of experience with high-speed filling equipment in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and GMPs.
  • Positive and engaging attitude towards colleagues.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and problem-solving.
  • Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
