Key Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and procedures while maintaining sanitary conditions and ensuring product quality.
  2. Operate, clean, and assist in preventive maintenance of filling machinery, troubleshooting as necessary.
  3. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  4. Lead changeover activities for filling machines, ensuring effective communication with supervisors regarding resources and issues.
  5. Maximize operational efficiency and minimize product loss during production.
  6. Meet daily production targets for the filling area.
  7. Maintain open communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Conduct quality checks and document downtime events promptly.
  10. Handle cleaning agents safely while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  11. Operate motorized material handling equipment as required.
  12. Report significant mechanical issues and system abnormalities to supervisors.
  13. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and maintain proper sanitation levels.
  14. Test and monitor cleaning agents to ensure compliance with specifications.
  15. Exhibit teamwork and uphold company values: Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement.
  16. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
  17. Assist in training new employees as needed.
  18. Maintain consistent attendance and foster positive communication with colleagues.
  19. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience operating machinery and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience with high-speed filling equipment in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and GMPs.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and operational manuals.
  • Basic mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
