Process Improvement Engineer

Job Overview
Under the guidance of senior management, this role leverages engineering principles and lean practices to enhance operational efficiency at various sites. The incumbent will focus on identifying and resolving operational challenges while designing effective solutions promptly. This position is crucial for fostering collaboration across multiple departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and redesign of process modifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Diagnose intricate technical challenges or operational delays, ascertain root causes, and propose actionable improvements utilizing established statistical methodologies.
- Evaluate change requirements for compatibility with processing techniques, assessing costs and timelines while overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Align equipment and material capabilities to achieve targeted specifications for process modules and technology.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and site leadership to support adherence to processes and to implement changes that capitalize on identified opportunities.
- Drive long-term continuous improvement initiatives by applying various analytical tools, including fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, DMAIC, root cause analysis, and time studies.
- Formulate sequences of operations, estimate time requirements, and prepare operational documentation, including support for labor and warehouse management systems.
- Work alongside engineering teams and local management to create standard operating procedures (SOPs) that enhance training and documentation for team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting equipment and resolving operational issues.
Certifications: Lean Training, Six Sigma Training, proficiency in Tableau or other statistical analysis tools.
