Position Summary:

The FSQ Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of systems that ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards. This position requires a strong commitment to reducing variability in both product and process, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will oversee the application of industry standards in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on maintaining quality throughout all stages of food processing, packaging, and distribution.

Safety is a core value, and this role will also emphasize the importance of human safety alongside food safety.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, training, and execution of quality systems.
  • Oversee quality assurance programs, including the creation of training materials for operational staff.
  • Provide technical support and training on GMPs, food safety, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Participate in audits and lead the development of Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Foster communication and teamwork across all departments.
  • Manage the annual Quality and Sanitation budgets effectively.
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Monitor sanitation programs to guarantee product safety.
  • Communicate key performance indicators related to Food Safety and Quality.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in aseptic beverage processing is preferred.
  • Completion of HACCP training is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Familiarity with food industry quality systems is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:
  • Technical expertise in aseptic processes and equipment.
  • Experience with microbiological testing and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of new plant startup processes.
  • Certifications in Better Process Control School and PCQI are a plus.
  • HACCP Manager Internal Auditor training is desirable.
