Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Jewish Family and Children's Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the onboarding process, data entry, and recruiting workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist newly hired employees through the onboarding process, from offer stage to New Employee Orientation.
- Conduct periodic follow-up calls to guide new employees through onboarding tasks.
- Provide technical assistance to new hires in navigating the Applicant Tracking System.
- Maintain lists of outstanding onboarding tasks and documents, and apprise the HR team and hiring managers as needed.
- Update and maintain various databases.
- Enter employee payroll information into online systems.
- Assist new hires with the Fingerprint Clearance Card application process.
- Attend New Employee Orientation and collect outstanding personnel documents.
- Scan documents into personnel files and assist with other NEO duties.
- Monitor and update data in databases.
- Perform other related HR duties as assigned.
- Assist with recruiting duties, including attendance at job fairs, ATS review, and reposting positions.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- Notable HR experience preferred.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially ICIMS, ADP, or similar.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
