Job Summary

This position serves as a key support role for operations at B&B Concrete. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in initial project setup and buyout, cost spread and estimate familiarity, job quantity tracking, on-site daily activity involvement, concrete material tracking, equipment and manpower productivity tracking, invoice approval, extra work ticket tracking, participation in job cost reporting, project safety compliance, quality control compliance, and production analysis/tracking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
  • Job Cost Spread and Estimate Familiarity: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of job costs and estimates.
  • Project Sequencing and Scheduling: Participate in the development and implementation of project schedules and sequencing plans.
  • Project Quantity/Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress and quantity tracking.
  • Production Analysis/Tracking: Analyze and track production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Project Cost Reporting: Participate in the preparation and submission of project cost reports.
  • Invoice Coding and Approval: Ensure accurate and timely invoice coding and approval.
  • Material/Equipment Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment as needed.
  • Change Order Request Issuance/Tracking: Manage the issuance and tracking of change orders.
  • Coordination with GC/Owner: Collaborate with general contractors and owners to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Coordination with B&B Operations Manager: Work closely with the operations manager to ensure effective resource allocation and management.

  • Planning and Control: Effectively plan and control work, motivate and develop subordinates, improve work methods and results, and encourage suggestions for work improvements.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to excellence and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Scheduling and Monitoring: Ability to monitor construction schedules and advise on potential setbacks or issues.
  • Safety and Quality: Communicate expectations and importance of safety, follow up on safety audits, and identify critical issues to develop improvement procedures.
Education and Experience
  • Experience: 0-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering recommended.
  • Attributes and Requirements: Basic knowledge of construction principles and practices required; excellent problem-solving skills; adaptable and flexible style; energetic and highly motivated; ability to work independently and as part of a team; and ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and work on multi-floor scaffolding.
