Role Summary:

The Vice President of Quality Assurance is a pivotal role that collaborates closely with the leadership of Patient Safety and Quality. This position is accountable for devising and executing the overarching strategy for quality and safety across both inpatient and outpatient services. The individual will assess patient care quality, safety protocols, and clinical outcomes, ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for healthcare quality that aligns with regulatory standards.
  • Lead data-driven initiatives aimed at enhancing quality metrics and patient safety.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and advocate for patient-centered care.
  • Evaluate and refine operational processes to ensure optimal performance in quality and safety programs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive experience in the healthcare sector, with at least five years in a leadership capacity within an academic medical environment.
  • Possession of an MD degree with substantial practice experience in a recognized specialty.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of influencing and achieving results collaboratively.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare delivery systems, including strategic planning and operational management.
  • Capacity to innovate and inspire creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across various departments.
