The Quality Assurance Manager will uphold and implement quality benchmarks by creating, overseeing, and revising all documentation, forms, protocols, and operational guidelines. These materials must be clear, consistent, and readily available. Proactively recognize and execute necessary modifications to ensure adherence to standards. Thoroughly document all quality-related facets of the organization's operations, including protocols, workflows, tools, equipment, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager will:

  • Establish and uphold quality benchmarks and protocols, detailing the entire product lifecycle.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of certification standards and necessary documentation.
  • Encourage daily communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Testing, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Support).
  • Conduct regular assessments on the shop floor and in the office to identify and address quality concerns.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for direct reports and quality control staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for document change history, Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), calibrated equipment, and required certifications.
  • Generate monthly quality reports that include data analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through ECR, SCAR, and CAR processes.
  • Develop, revise, and document quality protocols based on changing requirements.
  • Implement lasting solutions for recurring quality challenges through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training.
  • Manage the equipment calibration schedule, review calibration data, and coordinate equipment repairs.

Candidate Profile

The ideal Quality Assurance Manager will possess:

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quality or Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in transformers, power electronics, or similar sectors.

Skills and Competencies

  • Quality certifications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth understanding of operational processes.
  • Knowledge of national and international regulations.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience with audits.
