Strategic Internal Audit Leader

Job Summary
As a key member of the Onto Innovation team, the Strategic Internal Audit Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's internal audit function. This individual will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the function, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and leading the execution of audit projects focused on financial, IT, and compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an annual audit plan with quarterly updates to the Audit Committee, reflecting emerging risks and changing business conditions.
- Lead the execution of audit projects, collaborating closely with external auditors, SOX team, control owners, and other stakeholders.
- Drive the annual enterprise risk assessment and track progress of risk mitigation priorities.
- Provide advisory support to strengthen the internal control environment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop internal audit team members, contributing to the strengthening of the Finance and IT talent pipeline.
- Validate achievement of corporate ESG objectives.
- Engage outside consultants when needed to augment internal team expertise and capacity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of audit, finance, and other relevant experience with either big-4 accounting firms or public technology companies.
- Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred.
- BS in Accounting, Finance, IT, Engineering, or related; Relevant Masters preferred.
- CPA, CISA, and/or other relevant certifications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to extract and analyze large amounts of data and derive meaningful information.
- Demonstrated track record delivering value through internal audit advisory engagements.
- Skilled at building relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a high-performing team.
