We are seeking a Junior Investment Portfolio Strategist to join our dynamic Investment Team. This role may be based in various locations with a flexible work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
The Investment Team operates under the guiding principle of Learn, Build, Share, Repeat. We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. The Portfolio Management Team employs a generalist approach, ensuring that all team members, including Junior Investment Portfolio Strategists, gain comprehensive expertise across the entire portfolio lifecycle—from quantitative idea generation to trade execution, regardless of the investment strategy employed.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
Junior Investment Portfolio Strategists will engage in various functions, enhancing our investment capabilities under the guidance of senior Portfolio Managers. Responsibilities include:
- Factor Research: Investigating new alpha-generating factors and refining existing ones.
- Portfolio Development: Collaborating with analysts and developers to enhance portfolio construction methodologies.
- Tax Optimization: Improving our tax loss harvesting strategies and frameworks.
- Risk Oversight: Monitoring portfolios to ensure compliance with client mandates and risk parameters.
- Trade Execution: Working closely with the implementation team to facilitate efficient trading processes.
- Platform Enhancement: Partnering with analysts and developers to optimize tools for effective portfolio management.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project prioritization and collaborative skills. Experience in portfolio management, risk modeling, and quantitative analysis is preferred. Key qualifications include:
- A degree in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of computational techniques such as regression analysis, optimization, and statistical evaluation.
- CFA designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or SQL; C# is particularly valued.
- Strong understanding of relational data structures.
- Experience in quantitative portfolio management strategies, with 2-5 years in relevant roles.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.
