About the Role

The Solution Consultant (Pre-Sales) role is a critical component of the deal cycle for Commerce opportunities at Globant Commerce Studio. This position requires a unique blend of business, commercial, and technical expertise to consult with clients and guide them towards possible solutions to their online Commerce challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal & Commercial Management
    • Coordinate briefings with Sales leads to understand deal opportunities
    • Allocate resources required to work on deals
    • Review and manage the Jira Solution Consulting board to effectively manage workload
    • Create Solution Consulting plans with all necessary steps to move towards a decision
    • Develop Solution Consulting strategies as a response to customers
    • Review and manage RFP documentation
    • Lead, direct, and coordinate teams to deliver relevant deliverables for deals
    • Lead, direct, and coordinate teams to shape solution options
    • Review and interrogate estimates and project plans created by teams
    • Create project plans (if the individual has a project management background)
    • Create team profiles in relation to estimates and project plans
    • Develop commercial options to present to customers with relevant internal approvals
    • Shape narratives and stories to present to customers
    • Create presentations/proposals to share with customers
    • Work with Sales teams to understand feedback from proposals and ideate on ways to ensure deals are closed
    • Responsible for writing solutions contained in SOW documents, working closely with Sales Directors who are ultimately accountable
    • Responsible for detailing out solutions as part of Sales to Delivery handovers
    • Participate in retrospectives and ensure learnings are documented and inform future deals
  • Commerce Solution Advisor
    • Interact with customers and undertake research to understand customer pain points and challenges
    • Input information into central repositories so anyone who touches accounts understands the background
    • Challenge customers regarding what they are looking to achieve and design/implement (where appropriate)
    • Keep up-to-date with the Commerce landscape and key technologies, including but not limited to Adobe, Salesforce, Commerce Tools, SAP Hybris, Shopify, VTEX
    • Evaluate which technologies may be most appropriate to present/share with customers
    • Keep on top of industry trends and topics
    • Provide thought leadership for customer and prospect presentations
    • Provide Commerce Strategies that demonstrate experience improvements, business growth, and technology innovation
  • Team Management
    • Lead, direct, and mentor teams of Solution Consultants
    • Provide constructive feedback for team and individual growth
    • Review and approve proposals before they are presented or sent to prospects/customers
    • Create and continually evolve tools and processes for teams

Qualifications

  • Project Management, Sales, or Technical qualifications are advantageous
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud & Adobe Commerce Cloud accreditations will be looked upon favorably
