Job Summary

The Client Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in handling routine transactions for clients, including cashing checks, accepting deposits and loan payments. This position is responsible for opening and servicing all types of deposit accounts, promoting other bank services, and assisting new and existing clients through needs-based conversations. The CSR must perform all duties within the compliance of the Bank's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance client relationships by understanding all of the Bank's products and services, initiating conversations to identify client needs, and recommending product and service solutions to match those needs.
  • Perform client transactions such as accepting deposits and payments, disbursing cash, issuing official checks, preparing currency transaction reports, and placing stop payments.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of bank products and services, including stop payments, wire transfers, check orders, and debit card requests.
  • Participate in sales outreach strategies, including outbound calling, to achieve individual and team goals for deposit growth and referrals to our business line partners.
  • Represent and participate in community events sponsored by the Bank.
  • Maintain proficiency in digital channel technology and possess the ability to educate clients.
  • Identify risk and escalate concerns through proper channels.
  • Complete and pass all required BVS classes on time.
  • Maintain security of cash drawer.
  • Adhere to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required, 2-year degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience required.
  • Teller experience (Preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence to exercise sound business judgement.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
