Position Summary
AFCFC is seeking a Quality Assurance Food Safety Coordinator to ensure that all franchise locations adhere to the highest standards of safety and sanitation. This role involves conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise food safety and sanitation practices across retail food service outlets.
  • Perform routine inspections of franchise sites to verify adherence to safety standards and local regulations.
  • Provide education and guidance to operators during site visits regarding food safety and operational policies.
  • Investigate reported issues related to product quality and compliance with food service operations.
  • Facilitate Food Safety Training sessions for operators and partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in food safety.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations (Retail Food Code) is essential.
  • REHS/RS or CP-FS certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in retail food service is beneficial.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to execute projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
