Job Description

Overview

Seattle Food Tech is seeking a highly skilled Production and Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our plant-based meat products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement food safety plans and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new production processes and equipment.
  • Lead the development of quality assurance metrics and standards to ensure the quality of our finished goods.
  • Train and manage a team of production and quality control staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure timely completion of testing schedules.
  • Support the development of new products and processes, including bench, equipment, recipe, and prototype testing.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in large-scale food production, food manufacturing, and professional sanitation.
  • Training or education in food science, engineering, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Ability to think outside the box and work towards resolution with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and adherence to food safety.
  • Ability to work in an ever-evolving environment with constant changes to processes and equipment.
